Barcamp Austin rides again
February 18th, 2008
Just finished designing the logo for Barcamp Austin 3.
If you’re a web uber geek in Austin for sxsw check them out for a throw down of mental sparring.
I sketched out a thumbnail, based on input from evil genius whurley, then scanned into illustrator CS3 to do the final art. BTW - i LOVE CS3.

Man, you just got to love the healthcare industry. I just received an invoice from the doctor who put 7 stitches in hole i screwed into my hand (see previous post) for $650. This is on top of the $600 I already paid the hospital. he spent about 10 minutes with me out of 3 hours. Would not be a big deal if I had a job or insurance but at the time I did not thanks to well… nevermind, i don’t want to get into it. Obviously it’s a sore spot, and it’s not just my hand which is still healing and painful to touch.

While fishing yesterday I saw something very cool. An Osprey was flying over lake travis then suddenly dove in to the water and flew off with a fish. This is the first time I have ever seen one around here, usually they are by the coast and all we see are buzzards and red tail hawks. This bird was huge and very striking to see in action.
